Visit to Ponducherry

Auroville is located on the way from Chennai to Ponducherry, and is within the Ponducherry province. It was started in February 1968 on a piece of red earth barren land. It consist of 90 settlements and inhabited by nearly 1700 people from 35 countries. Part of its charter says that it belongs to nobody, but humanity. It is a dream land, where no nation can claim as its own.

Ponducherry was a French colony, so french architecture buildings everywhere at the town centre. Even the street names are in French. Unfortunately no photo is allowed at the museum and at the meditation centre, so you do not see any picture in the video.
